(Antik Batik Skirt, ASOS Crop Top, Valentino Bag, Ben-Amun Necklace, Chanel Sandals)

Summer isn't over yet and as I've said before I dress according to the weather.  The weather when I wore this look was quite sunny and hot.  I wanted to wear something fun, colorful, and young.  I really do prefer the heat to the cold even though fall gives me the chance to wear all my leather motorcycle jackets.  This Antik Batik skirt has a beautiful print on it and the most exquisite embroidery.  Both my niece and my mother fell in love with it on me.  We have had some colder weather so I took the first chance I had to wear this skirt with an off the shoulder crop top.  My favorite place to snag hip crop tops is definitely ASOS.  This top is under $16 and 100% cotton.  You really can't go wrong even if you only wear it once.  I also own it in black and you can see me styling the black one here.  It is sexy to show some shoulder, especially if you have some freckles there like I do.

For accessories I stuck with a gold/tan/brown theme.  This necklace is one I have been searching for all summer.  I wanted a longer statement necklace in all gold to go with bohemian outfits.  I finally found this Ben-Amun necklace at the end of summer.  Better late than never, right?  Last time I wore this Valentino bag I wore it with a denim skirt.  This bag is going to transition right into fall thanks to the cognac hue.  It will go with leopard print and burgundy pieces so well.  Right now it goes with all my summer looks, especially the ones with a lot of white or color.  The fringe never goes out of style either.  These Chanel sandals were a lucky snag in Las Vegas and I have to say I fall more in love with them each time I wear them.  My boyfriend wasn't so sure about them and I am not sure why.  They remind me of the 1970s and anything that resembles something from that era catches my eye.  I hope you enjoy this fun summer look.  We will have plenty of time for more fall ones.

xoxo

(Marc Allison Skinny Jeans, Equipment Top, IRO Jacket, Pendleton Hat, Giuseppe Zanotti Boots)

Marc Allison Jeans just came across my radar thanks to their wonderful fit.  I am wearing the michi mid rise skinny in black.  These jeans are so comfortable that I ended up wearing them a few days in a row.  I think we all do that with pieces we love.  The reason why Marc Allison Jeans are so comfortable is because they are made with supima cotton, which is the finest cotton in the world.  If you are a longtime reader you know how picky I am about fabrics and the pieces I put on my body have to be soft.  The supima cotton allows the jeans to stretch in both the length and the width, conforming to your unique body shape.  You can wear these jeans as many as seven times without washing and they won't loose their shape.  Also, Marc Allison Jeans are made in Los Angeles.  Marc Allison Jeans run about one size small so in these photos I am wearing one size up from my usual denim size.  You can take 40% off any purchase from Marc Allison Jeans with the code SNAG40.  This code will expire on September 7th at midnight so be sure to stock up on some new jeans for fall.

When styling the jeans I decided to go for a western look suitable for someone like me who lives in Colorado near the Rocky Mountains.  The weather was warm, but not hot and there was a chance of rain.  It was slightly overcast as well.  I had a doctor's appointment and then I was meeting up with my boyfriend for lunch.  We ended up having an amazing salad and olive oil bread that was toasted to perfection.  After lunch we headed to a popular coffee spot for a latte.  I usually dress according to the weather and the activities of the day.  I wanted to still feel stylish, but also be somewhat low key.  The first thing I did was pick out a printed sleeveless silk blouse by Equipment that I felt guilty about not wearing all summer.  I thought I could style it in a fall or transitional weather fashion by pairing it with a washed leather motorcycle jacket.  I have a huge love for anything featuring a star print.

I added the hat and boots last.  The hat is really such a steal if you look at the price of hats on Shopbop and other places.  It is by Pendleton and it is a classic style, meaning it will never go out of style.  Mine is in black, but it also comes in brown.  I think you have to have fun with fashion and one way to do that, especially when the temps start to drop, is to incorporate hats.  Hats are your best weapon against bad or unwashed hair days as well.  The Giuseppe Zanotti boots are this wild lizard embossed leather and very bold.  The gold shiny effect was enough to amp up the otherwise black and white look.  I always feel low key in ankle boots.
