I styled a fall look around my new patent leather and python Chanel boy bag. A chain embellished skirt and soft long sleeve knit formed the foundation of my outfit. I kept warm in a cropped shearling jacket. On my feet are patent leather ankle boots with cutout detailing and on my ears are Dior pearl earrings. Shop the entire look below. Well, I am back to regular posting from Denver Colorado! It is so beautiful here during the fall. I just finished giving my two toy poodles a bath. Bella loves her baths and Teddi hates them. You can see my entire gang right here if you are interested. They look like prim and proper toy poodles now with the full fluff factor going on. Now I will continue on to my outfit. This look was inspired by my new Chanel bag I picked up in Chicago. We always try to snag something special during our vacations and this time was no exception. I love Chicago and I love Chanel so it is always my first stop. My boyfriend bought me this amazing python and patent leather Chanel bag that features a beige/gold stripe of color down the middle surrounded by black. I thought it was perfect for the colder weather and I love the small size boy bag. Believe me, I have tried on the other sizes, but none look as good on me as the small.
I definitely wanted a mostly black look since I knew I had to wear tights due to the weather. By the way, these tights from Express are my favorite and they are so cheap. They never ever snag or get a run in them. I always stock up every year in case they quit making them or change the formula. I also felt like wearing this new Michael Kors skirt I snagged on sale off The Outnet at 50% off. I sometimes find some real gems on The Outnet and this skirt is one of them. It has a really nice length to it for the colder weather and the chain and zipper detailing on the front makes it very edgy. It also has the perfect fit for my body. It is fitted at the waist and skims the hips as I like to say.
I paired it with the softest merino wool and silk blend long sleeve top from Rag & Bone. I love this top so much I bought it in this ivory color as well as black. I wore this top while exploring Chicago. I paired it with my Level 99 skinny jeans, Converse sneakers, and my Rag & Bone peacoat for a casual everyday look. Now this top is on sale so snag the black here and the ivory here. I always say the fabric matters the most in what you wear and if you find a soft long sleeve then you might as well get it in both black and white. You only end up wearing the most comfortable clothing when you go to your closet to get dressed.
As the topper for this look I wore yet another Outnet snag, this Burberry cropped shearling jacket. I couldn't believe my luck when I snagged this Burberry London coat at around 65% off and it had the perfect fit. Sometimes taking a chance on The Outnet really pays off and if it doesn't work out you can always return the item for a small fee. I love The Outnet because I can schedule a UPS pickup for returns the same day I received the item. That kind of service is amazing.
For shoes I wanted an ankle boot that wasn't too chunky and did not have a platform. I found these Alaia patent cutout ankle boots that you haven't seen in forever. The last time I wore them on the blog was here with a plaid skirt and tee. They are amazing shoes that I snagged on The Outnet a long time ago. They are also comfortable, but all Alaia shoes are pretty comfortable for me. I think they look just as good with tights as they do with bare legs. I found a similar pair of Alaia shoes from the current season here.
I also wore my favorite Dior pearl earrings. These earrings make such a statement and are very classy. I found a more affordable version here if you are interested in getting the look without the steep price tag. Everyone will ask you where you got these earrings when you are wearing them.
Denim overalls have been making a comeback now for a couple years. I was looking for a tight 1970s style pair with a flared leg. I finally found them and paired them with a plaid crop top for fall and chunky ankle boots. Shop the entire look below. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.
