Check out the video to see a nice winter look for a quick sushi date. I wore a soft red plaid scarf with a knit sweater and my classic trench coat. We shot these photos in the studio right before heading out to have sushi at Sushi Den. It was dark outside so we didn't have any other choice. I really love this look and it is a typical Colorado winter outfit for me. The entire look was inspired by this red plaid scarf from Fevrie boutique. It is really soft and under $35 so I thought it was a real steal for the quality. You can receive 25% off your order at Fevrie by using the code FASHIONSNAG. I like that it is large so I can wrap it in many different ways. It was the perfect pop of color for this look and matched the soles of my Christian Louboutin fringe boots.
Underneath the scarf I am wearing the softest sweater I snagged on sale. This A.L.C. sweater may look boring from afar, but up close it is a super soft blend of cashmere and silk. I love finding sweaters in luxurious fabric blends like this. It is slightly sheer, but still keeps you pretty warm. I thought it was the perfect color to contrast with the red plaid scarf. I am wearing a size extra small in the sweater if you are interested in purchasing it.
Over the sweater I am wearing one of my favorite coats of all time from Burberry. This Burberry cashmere and wool trench coat is a timeless piece that you won't regret buying. You can see how I wore it in the past with red leather leggings and brown leather pants. I originally wanted the camel color of this same coat, but the black looked much better on me. I am wearing a US size 4 in the coat. I never tried on the size 2, but I wanted room to layer underneath the coat. I think this size is perfect for doing so.
On my legs are my trusty Alice + Olivia leather leggings. These are probably my favorite pair of leather pants in my wardrobe. They are the easiest to put on by far and they are so nice and thin. I really hate thick leather on leather pants or leggings. It adds far too much bulk to the body for someone who has athletic legs. I am wearing a size 2 in the leggings if you are interested in purchasing. They are also the perfect length on me and I am 5'5. I don't like it when my leather leggings or pants are too long and scrunch up. I have worn them with brocade coats, fuzzy white sweaters, white coats, and green sweaters in the past. You will find yourself wanting to wear these leather leggings with everything because they look and feel terrific.
I snagged these Christian Louboutin suede fringe ankle boots off Bluefly. I actually really enjoy shopping at Bluefly and no, I was not paid to say that. I find that they have a unique selection of designer goods and a lot of the pieces are current. I can get that extra discount I enjoy and get something I would have bought at full price. I always check out their new arrivals for shoes and handbags. Some of you might remember that I also have these boots in a cognac or tan color. I snagged the tan pair at a Net-a-Porter sale and you saw me styling them recently with a denim dress. Both pairs I snagged in a size 40 so beware if you happen to find these shoes for sale that they do run small. I never get a 40 in any shoes usually. That is a full size larger than I normally need. These boots are extremely comfortable and I still love them just as much as I did when I first snagged them. The suede fringe adds a fun touch to the look and just a bit of texture to break up the leather leggings.
I styled a fall look around my new patent leather and python Chanel boy bag. A chain embellished skirt and soft long sleeve knit formed the foundation of my outfit. I kept warm in a cropped shearling jacket. On my feet are patent leather ankle boots with cutout detailing and on my ears are Dior pearl earrings. Shop the entire look below.
