I call this my bohemian eclectic style. I like to dabble in looks like this one every fall. It is the only time you can mix summer pieces with fall ones. For example, in this look I mixed a little white summer dress with Giuseppe Zanotti suede over the knee boots in a cognac hue. I won't be able to get away with this for long so I am definitely going to take advantage of the opportunity. This dress is actually an old one from way back when. You can see how I styled it back in 2011 here. I like to wear pieces I love again and again. Unfortunately, I am not always able to capture every outfit I wear for this blog. A dress like the one I am wearing in these photos might seem boxy at first glance, but it serves its purpose well. A loose and flowy dress that makes the cut must have some sheerness to it so when the light shines through it you can see your legs or shape. That is my own personal rule that I think makes or breaks the flowy white dress vision. Also, the dress can't be too long. The purpose this dress serves is that you can wear it with tight suede over the knee or thigh high boots. It balances out really sexy shoes. Of course this is just one purpose it serves. Another is that it fulfills that bohemian void for summer. Since it is 100% cotton it breathes with you and you never feel stifled.
The suede thigh high boots are an unusual color which is exactly why I had to snag them. We have all seen the black suede thigh high and over the knee boots, but what about cognac or tan? There is something retro about the color and at the same time the color says bohemian. Black can be a little too harsh for thigh high and over the knee boots, but a tan color softens the silhouette. Now, that is not to say that you won't be seeing me in black suede thigh high boots this year. I am sure that will happen as I have some in my closet at this very moment. I opted for my fringe Gucci bag once again. This bag is probably one of my favorite purchases I made this year. I think the bag design is perfect. The shoulder strap is adjustable and I have it on the shortest setting in these photos. This bag can work on petite women as well as tall women thanks to that feature.
Accessories can make or break a look. I recently snagged this Missoni headband and I adore how it has a mix of patterns. The green color also matches my eyes. I thought it added a much needed pop of color to the entire outfit. On my wrist is a beautiful bracelet by Julie Vos. Julie Vos has luxury jewelry that sparks conversation and stands the test of time. This bracelet would go just as well with a classic or preppy look as it does with my bohemian look. We snapped some quick photos over at The Little Nell before heading to dinner at Cache Cache. We both had the filet mignon and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. I would highly recommend Cache Cache if you are ever in Aspen. Don't forget the Pinot Noir!
