(Carven Sweater, Rag & Bone Coat, Rag & Bone Jeans, Balmain Boots - old)

We ended up having a few nice days where the snow melted in the streets and we could shoot some outfits.  Of course today it snowed and it looks like Christmas out there again.  I don't mind the snow, but it makes it a little more difficult to shoot outdoor photos.  I like wearing my UGG boots, but I don't want to wear them every day on my blog.  By the way, you can see me wearing some tall black UGG boots with a leopard coat here.  Luckily, for heavy snow days there is always the indoor studio.

I let my boyfriend cut my hair the day before these photos were taken.  It was his first time giving anyone a haircut and he did surprisingly well.  He wasn't even nervous when I asked him and I guess you could say I trust people easily.  That will save me a trip to the salon where they try to blowdry and fry the heck out of my hair.  I would rather let it air dry.  I am wearing a look that is classic on the top and trendy/urban on the bottom.  I always like to let my shoes do the talking and I sort of think of shoes as the icing on a cake.  You can be creative in that area.

This Carven sweater is a classic cable knit design and I love the cropped length.  It kept me so warm that I wondered why I brought my coat.  That is why you see me wearing my coat on my shoulders in a lot of the shots or slung over my shoulder.  I am also running a fever that keeps me pretty warm.  My boyfriend was getting cold while shooting the photos and he was wearing a jacket.

On top of the sweater I am wearing this super cute Rag & Bone wool duffle coat.  I love the toggle fastenings, the navy blue color, and the bright orange quilted lining.  The pop of color is built right into the coat.  I snagged it off The Outnet for almost 60% off.  It was a steal for this type of coat.  The coat is also made in the USA so it is really good quality.

On my legs are my favorite high-rise skinny jeans of the moment from Rag & Bone.  I find these Rag & Bone jeans run true to size.  They definitely have a body hugging fit and they go so well with cropped tops and sweaters.  The dark wash is pretty slimming as well.  You can see me wearing them recently with low ankle boots here and with a crop top here.

I pulled out an old favorite pair of high heeled ankle boots.  I snagged these Balmain boots way back in 2010.  See me wearing them with a Balmain bullet belt here and with Alexander Wang denim leather shorts here.  I think these shoes have a lot of character and attitude.  They add just the right amount of edge to the classic look.  I like when people will look over an outfit from top to bottom with their eyes and when they get to the bottom their eyes widen because they notice the shoes.  That's when you know you got them.
