(Derek Lam Trousers, Alaia Boots, Nina Ricci Bag, Splendid Turtleneck)

I used to love watching Charlie's Angels as a kid.  It was one of my favorite shows so I recently bought the entire series on DVD to re-watch as an adult.  We are having a lot of fun watching the series every night.  I also love the clothing in the show.  My favorite angel is probably Kelly also known as Jaclyn Smith since we do share a name and I love her style in the series.  I have always been into the seventies and the late sixties for as long as I can remember.  This outfit was inspired by Kelly Garrett.

I snagged these Derek Lam trousers at over 70% off during all the holiday sales.  They are merino wool and they look amazing.  These are the ultimate leg elongating pants and I have seen the angels wearing similar pairs throughout the TV series.  I paired them with a classic Splendid turtleneck.  You might remember seeing me wear this same turtleneck recently here with a Dawn Levy coat and Valentino boots.  It is definitely a basic piece you should have in your closet.  It is under $60 and the fabric is very soft.  It is also great for layering with other pieces.

On my feet are one of my favorite pairs of shoes that I have purchased over the last year, these Alaia patent leather ankle boots.  They make me the tallest I can be and they work well under long trousers like these as well as flare jeans.  Check out how I wore them with Rag & Bone shorts here and with a leopard skirt here.  My Nina Ricci tote was just the classic bag to finish off the ensemble.  I wore the bag with a very similar look from the same era.  You can see that outfit here.

On Me: (Free People Romper, Camilla Skovgaard Mules, Alkemie Jewelry Choker, Oliver Peoples Sunglasses)

On Sidney: (PINK Skirt, Vanity Tank Top, Derek Lam Sandals)

We headed out to True Food Kitchen for a late lunch on the last day my parents and niece were here.  We came at the right time as the place was pretty empty and we could take lots of photos.  Everyone loves to eat here because they have a wide variety of meals to suit anyone's palate.  My dad had a burger and my mom had tacos.  My niece Sidney had the margherita pizza while my boyfriend and I both had our usual turkey sandwiches.  We all split a salad before our main meal as well.  After this we ran over to Bonnie Brae for some ice cream.  It was a fun and beautiful day!  I am wearing somewhat of a retro look with the vintage looking jumpsuit and mules, while Sidney looks ultra girly and cute with a purple flared skirt and grey embellished top.  Oh, my necklace is actually a snake coiled up around my neck and it is one of my favorites.
