Steven Alan Cruiser Criss Cross Mini Dress in Taupe - Snagged off Gilt.com for $98 (Retail: $240)

Frye Ava Tall Patchwork Boot in Cognac - Snagged off RevolveClothing.com $120 (Retail: $398)

Free People Feather Earrings in Red - Snagged off FreePeople.com for $9.99 (Retail: $18)

Snapping photos at dusk on our favorite walking and biking trail proved to be pretty exciting.  I love to see coyotes and different wildlife and my boyfriend snapped a photo of one of the coyotes I happened to spy.  There were many more lurking around looking for a good meal.  Some people were out walking their dogs around the lake, some were biking, and a lot of people were walking.  It is really beautiful out here in Colorado with the mountains in the background.

This is another one of my country or bohemian looks and often times these are my favorite outfits to post because I can explore much more when I am in my Frye boots.  I snagged these for a steal back in December of 2008 from Revolve Clothing.  They had some 33% off code going on so I took 33% off the sale price!  I wonder if we will ever see a code like that again.  I love this dress because its name is Cruiser, which is the name of one of our dogs.  Also, the open back is another really nice detail for summer.  The best part about the dress is that it has pockets and the pocket lining has a beautiful floral print.  I added a pair of my feather earrings from Free People in red.  I think I bought a pair in every color.

I saw this old red mower/tractor thing when we were biking and I thought it would be the perfect place for some scenic photos.  After we finished exploring the coyote scene we headed into Cherry Creek for some pizza at Cucina Colore, one of our favorite Italian restaurants.

Free People Linen Butterfly Shift Dress - Gift from Boyfriend at Nordstrom in the Park Meadows Mall

Frye Veronica Harness Boots in Grey - Snagged off FreePeople.com on sale

Ra Creations Nyla Wrap Feather Headband - Snagged off Shopbop.com in the 70% off section for $13.86 and I love it

I took a quick shower, threw on this beaded butterfly dress that I have been wanting to wear since last fall, and pulled down my boxes of Frye boots looking for grey ones to go with the dress.  As a last minute accessory I saw this headband sitting on my dresser and decided it would liven up my wet hair. My boyfriend and I took a drive to a nearby neighborhood where once upon a time, likely before the recession hit, horses used to roam for acres.  Lucky for me, there was one horse out and about and not busy giving anyone a ride.  He was quite the curious horse and we seemed to bond instantly.  I felt bad for him because his hay bin was empty so I fed him some grass. This was one of my favorite shoots because I love being around animals and out in nature more than anything.  I don't think we have done a similar shoot since 'Western Dreamer,' when I wore my Luchesse boots and a bolo tie.  I think this horse had a little crush on me or maybe he was just smelling my shampoo.  Either way, we enjoyed spending time with him and we liked the way he always kept his eyes on me.

This garden was a labor of love.  The boy and I planted all this ourselves, mostly from seedlings.   I wish we had gotten more photos of it when it was in fine, lush form.  I am going to miss it.  The pigs love the fresh romaine, carrots, parsley, and kale.  It was a great idea to put a black cover over our garden to prevent weeds and then just make holes for each crop.  No weeding necessary!  Tonight we made zucchini bread with some of the zucchini from the garden.
