I recently had a small bone exposed on my gum that I had to have worked on, but I am so stoic and hardcore that I took these photos afterwards.  I am a pretty easygoing person and I try not to get too worked up about anything.  I figure life is short and I just want to enjoy the ride.  Worrying about the future never solves anything.  So after I had my gums worked on I went for a manicure because you should always treat yourself, right?  I picked this cool Barbie pink color.  I think this is going to be my summer color.  Sometimes I get stuck on one nail color for months.  They think it is funny at the nail salon.  I do that with foods I eat as well, mainly peanut butter toast and eggs.  I eat tons of eggs and a lot of peanut butter.  Afterwards, I decided to visit my favorite horse.  If you've been a longtime reader you may remember my 2010 visit as seen here.  I thought it was time to see the horse again.  He was so loving and kind to me.  He wanted to nuzzle right up.  I am a huge animal lover.  If I had to choose hanging out with people or animals I would choose animals every single time.  I enjoy taking care of them even, right down to the dirty work like cleaning cages, grooming, and bathing.  My outfit was casual because I had a doctor's appointment.  After we shot these photos we headed over to the bread store to pick up my favorite bread and then over to Trader Joe's to pick up Bran Flakes.  Have you had their Bran Flakes cereal before?  It is so good, but I am really into Bran Flakes and steel cut oatmeal so maybe I am biased.  Have a great weekend!

I love my new custom vintage Levi's denim shorts.  If you know me you know I have one too many pairs of denim shorts.  I certainly don't need anymore in my closet, but who can resist soft, worn-in denim?  Certainly not yours truly!  The floral addition to these shorts makes them super cute.  I paired them with this thermal looking tank top.  I've had a love affair with waffle weave fabrics and thermal underwear for as long as I can remember.  No, I am serious.  Anything that has to do with comfort or being cozy usually has me hooked.  After all, I am the homebody of the zodiac.  On my arm is my favorite fringe leather bucket bag.  I don't think I will ever get sick of this purse.  I am wearing wooden platform clogs with stud detailing, the perfect casual everyday shoes.  Some people think I am dressed up when I wear these, but to me they are casual.  I live in an alternate universe so it's okay if you don't understand me.  I don't even understand myself.  I was sick of my usual black chokers and lavender/purple colors have seemed appealing to me again after a long hiatus.  I added my name plate necklace and my mom's trusty vintage hoop earrings and the ensemble was finished.  Oh yeah, the holes and rips in these shorts are in the perfect spots if you dare to wear them.
