I am going to ask you guys a question today.  What do you think love is and how far would you go for love?  I am curious to read your opinions.  This beautiful sunset was captured at a nearby pond.  Sometimes you just happen to catch the perfect light.  This dress is slightly oversized, but I think it looks adorable that way.  It is 100% cotton so it is very comfortable to wear this time of year.  I wore it with some Alaia sandals I've had since 2010.  The shoes are more comfortable than they look.  Alaia shoes are always comfortable.  I also wore a bow necklace that I am not sure I have worn before.  I can't remember.  The Gucci bag was worn in the last post and is also old, as are the sunglasses.  I am getting really into thrifting and vintage.  There are so many treasures to be discovered, like this dress.  I feel like I am transported back in time.  I think I was supposed to be a teenager in the late 60s and early 70s.  Happy Tuesday to you all!

I bought this dress for under $45.  Can you believe it?  It is the perfect Easter dress.  I paired it with a bunny necklace of course.  How could I resist?  This past year was perhaps the most difficult year of my entire life.  However, it was also the year that transformed me.  I never understood why people wouldn't want to go back in time.  Now I know why.  You grow so much wiser.  A year really can change you a lot.  You don't want to go back because you know so much more now.  Sometimes life makes you take off your rose colored glasses.  Maybe you liked wearing them, but it was time to grow up.  It is sort of like pulling the curtain back and exposing harsh truths about life.  You can't unsee some things.  That's the way life is unfortunately.  I feel stronger than ever at this point in my life.  I live with no regrets too.  All that happens is meant to happen I think.  I didn't mean to go off on a tangent, but I really can't help it.  I could go on and on about this outfit, but we all know that the material things mean nothing in life.  They mean absolutely nothing.  I would trade in everything to have all my pets back.  This is just what I do because I like being creative and I enjoy fashion.  So now I will tell you that I bought a sewing machine and I am excited to start designing some pieces and perhaps editing some pieces in my closet to update them or tailor them for a better fit.  I feel alive and ready to face the world once again.  I now know that I can take whatever crap anyone or anything wants to throw at me.  Bring it on!

xoxo

I felt so beautiful in this dress and it is under $40!  Can you believe it?  What a great snag.  It reminds me of a dress from out of that movie The Notebook.  There is something really refreshing about dressing in a retro 1940s style dress.  I know maybe this dress would have been a bit longer back then, but I like to think of this as an updated 1940s look for 2016.  This dress also has a very flattering fit.  I paired it with this handmade and delicate butterfly bracelet which is under $30 and my 1940s inspired platform Gucci pumps.  My favorite shoes at the moment are these pumps.  I already have them in green, but I love them so much I bought them in this nude color as well.  You can't go wrong with platform pumps.  I added pearls to make the look even more ladylike.
