Prada Leopard-Printed Haircalf Sandals - Snagged off Barneys.com for $499 (Retail: $990)

Elizabeth and James Scarlet Jersey Dress in Paprika - Snagged off HauteLook.com for $175 (Retail: $365)

Hermes Clic-Clac H Wide Bracelet in Black Enamel - Worn before here with Kova & T lace dress and Fendi wedges

This Elizabeth and James dress is a beautiful piece that has been sitting in my closet for quite some time waiting for the perfect occasion to be worn.  I decided I might as well wear it even if I had nowhere to go and I instantly felt glammed up the moment I slipped it on.  I love how it is form-fitting on the bottom and loose and kimono-like on the top.  It also has beautiful fabric covered buttons near the neck in the back and a large keyhole opening.  Sometimes I get sick of wearing black and white all the time and I want to wear some color and this paprika Elizabeth and James dress did the trick.

I paired it with my leopard-printed mary jane sandals by Prada.  I snagged these during Barneys holiday markdowns.  I had my eye on them for quite some time and they still had my size for sale online when the price was reduced.  I checked out as fast as I could because I had heard of online orders from Barneys getting canceled with late notice.  I have another pair of leopard platform pumps by Prada from this season as well that I wore here, but they have more of a whitish leopard print than these.  My boyfriend is now convinced that I have enough leopard shoes to last a lifetime.  For jewelry, I chose this Hermes wide H bracelet that was a gift from my boyfriend a couple years ago.  I love the simple elegance of the gold and black.  The real treat is how this bracelet opens.  The H moves up and down to open the bracelet, which I think makes it really unique.

Alexander Wang Velvet Romper with Lace Corset - Gift from Boyfriend

Hermes Scarf in Gold and Black - Gift from Boyfriend at Hermes in Paris

Miu Miu Satin Platform Pumps in Black - Worn before here with 3.1 Phillip Lim silk track shorts

James Perse Long Tank in White - Worn before here with Vivienne Tam shorts

When I saw this romper I knew I had to have it.  I know I say that about a lot of things, but I fell in love with the lace corset detailing and the suspendersI am also convinced that I can wear the bottom part of this alone without the suspenders although I haven't attempted that yet.  The romper could also be used when it gets cooler with tights.  Now you see how I got my boyfriend to buy this for me.  I explained how useful it is when it really is something I probably didn't need anyway.  Velvet gets to me just like George in Seinfeld.  This beautiful Hermes scarf is finally being utilized around my neck even though I originally had ideas about attaching it to a purse.  You will see this piece again styled in a completely different way.  This is my end of summer version thus the tank and bare legs.  Don't you love this romper?

Hermes Gold and Black Wide 'H' Hinge Bracelet - Gift from Boyfriend

What can I say?  I am loving lace more than ever so I decided to break out one of my favorite (and my boyfriend's favorite) body-con dresses on a snowy day. I love the back details on this dress and the three buttons on the back of the neck.  The sunshine hasn't shown its face for a few days and Colorado has finally decided to kick this whole winter season into high gear, much to my dismay.  I haven't let the weather dampen my spirits though.  I dressed up in some suede wedges I know would never make it through the snow without being permanently disfigured.  I love the shiny wedge detail and the mesh inset upper.  Can you tell I read the clothing descriptions on Shopbop a little too often?  These things are going to be cute once the snow goes bye bye.

I buy absolutely everything Vera makes because the quality and design is always perfect and in one of my recent Deep in Vogue packages she threw in this cream colored faux fur scarf, which is so soft I think I could sleep with it every night.  I decided to pair it with black for a rich black and cream/gold color scheme.  We set up our photoshoot in a corner bar of the master bedroom and went to town.  My dear boyfriend bought me this lovely bangle that he picked out himself from Hermes.  He has pretty good taste in jewelry and I make sure to let him know.  I picked up this stuffed kitty at the Denver Zoo when my sister, niece, and nephew visited us in Colorado in the summer of 2008.  He still had his tags on, but I finally cut them off for the photos.  I love his big blue eyes.  My niece picked out the same cat on that trip.  I think he loves Vera's faux fur scarf just as much as I do.
