Milly Phoebe Tripe Chain Skirt in Cream - Snagged at Neiman Marcus for $150 (Retail: $366)

Prada Mary-Jane Sandals in Black - See them worn in wine here with Adam shearling leather skirt and leopard pony here with Elizabeth and James dress and Hermes bracelet

Marc by Marc Jacobs Plaid Metallic Sweater in Navy - Snagged off Shopbop.com for $68.40 (Retail: $228)

This outfit was inspired entirely by Chanel.  I spotted this sweet Milly skirt on the sale rack at Neiman Marcus in Denver and right away it reminded me of Chanel, but at a much more reasonable price.  I was so happy when I saw it was my size so I tried it on right away.  I really love that it is tweed and it has the fabulous chain detailing.  This is only my second piece by Milly, but I can tell I am getting addicted.  Milly items are so cute and feminine.  The first item I ever bought by Milly was this poodle sweater that I wore on the blog a couple weeks ago.  When I first got the skirt I was thinking about how adorable it would look with the poodle sweater I had at home, but then I decided to spice it up and try something different.  Next time I am definitely going to wear the skirt with the poodle sweater for an all Milly outfit.

This Marc by Marc Jacobs sweater vest had been sitting in my closet for a while and I had only worn it once before over a year ago with a white button down underneath.  I like the preppy vibes of this sweater and it was quite the snag off of the Shopbop website.  It is made of silk and cashmere, one of my favorite blends.  Anyway, I had recently pulled out this Marc Jacobs sweater because I wanted to revive it with a newer item so I put the Milly skirt next to it and it was destiny.  Together, the skirt and the sweater really made a Chanel-esque outfit.  My boyfriend really liked this outfit, especially the skirt and even though he doesn't know too much about fashion he even said it reminded him of Chanel.

For shoes, I wore my Prada black suede mary jane sandals.  I am ashamed to admit that I own these shoes in wine and leopard pony as well.  I got a great deal on all of them during Christmas sales though and they are extremely comfortable.  I thought the gold buckle detailing on the shoes went with the rest of the gold in my outfit.  I hope you watch the video because I talk about my friend Marisol, the first person I met through Fashion Snag!

Yves Saint Laurent Leopard-Print Ankle Boots - Gift from Boyfriend

3.1 Phillip Lim Quilted Leather Shorts in Black - Snagged off ShopDiavolina.com for $488.75 (Retail: $575) *See the brown version here with Giuseppe Zanotti military lace-up boots

Marc by Marc Jacobs Alyra Cashmere Sweater in Sable - Snagged off Gilt.com for $118 (Retail: $250)

Okay, those of you who read my blog regularly know that I already have these shorts in a brown color too so don't kill me! I bought them in black because I loved them so muchI mean, they are quilted leather and I did find a discount code so I had to get them in another color, right?  Sadly, I tried to trick the boyfriend into thinking these were the same brown ones I already owned.  He didn't fall for it though.  In all honesty, I have found that even though some of the things I buy have outrageous price tags I end up wearing those items I love and really wanted much more than things I thought were just too good of a deal to pass up.  I hope you know what I mean by that.  Buy only what drives you crazy and wild.  You will love it and wear it that much more.  It took me a long time to learn this lesson and I still struggle with resisting sales sometimes.

Anyway, leather shorts, camel cashmere sweater complete with a cutout back, what more could I ask for in an outfit?  I felt really great in this one when I went out to sushi with the boyfriend.  Don't worry, we hit up a different sushi joint this time.  We are sushi junkies!  Out of all my animal print shoes I find that these are the most true to life.  My boyfriend got these for me last Christmas.  I think the print is more ocelot, but the description says leopard.  By the way, I title my posts after one thing I am wearing just to make it easier.  That isn't always what the focus of my outfit is that day, just what I felt like putting as a title.
