Charlotte Olympia Dalva Suede Platform Sandals in Black - Snagged off Net-a-Porter.com for $516 (Retail: $860)

Haute Hippie Bias Sequin Mini Skirt in Antique Gold - Snagged off Gilt.com for $129 (Retail: $300)

The Reformation Bridge Button Down Top in Pin Stripe - Snagged off RevolveClothing.com for $130.90 (Retail: $154)

Haute Hippie never fails to impress me with their mini skirts so when I saw this gold sequin skirt for sale at a pretty good price on Gilt Groupe I jumped on it.  The fit is perfect and the quality is as expected from Haute Hippie.  My collection of Haute Hippie mini skirts keeps growing and growing for a reason.  I usually try to stay away from gold sequin pieces because they don't always mesh well with my skin tone.  However, this gold sequin skirt was my chance to stray from my usual rules.  This skirt itself is lined in silk and the sequins are not scratchy, making it a great buy.  Something about the skirt itself made me want to dress it down with a business-like top complete with pin stripes.

I snagged this Reformation top off of Revolve Clothing with a discount code.  It is 100% silk and has a racer back.  I like the subtle stripes throughout the top.  I knew Reformation was a good quality brand because I had bought their fly lace shorts a few months ago.  The top doesn't disappoint.  I tucked in one side and left the other side untucked to dress down the sequin skirt a little bit.  I have seen others dress down sequins with striped tees, but I think the top being sleeveless and silky makes it a little bit different.  Also, the stripes are not as in your face.

I wanted to wear my new Charlotte Olympia suede sandals that have a unique gold platform.  I snagged these during the Net-a-Porter sale.  I wanted them at full price, but I am glad I waited.  In one of the photos I am attempting to put a toe back in that escaped from the suede straps.  I am particular like that.  That damn toe likes to be different.  Anyway, Charlotte Olympia shoes are always comfortable in my opinion and these are no exception.  I like that they stand out from the rest of my all black sandals due to the gold platform.

Express Sheer Full Tights in Pitch Black - Snagged off Express.com for $8 (Retail: $16.90)

This slouchy knit sweater from Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent was the perfect snag for spring.  It is lightweight, yet somewhat sheer, making it a great transitional piece.  On a colder day you can layer it over a basic tank like I did and on a warmer day just layer it over a frilly bralette.  I had been looking for a white slouchy sweater with very little detailing for a long time and I was happy to snag this one off of Gilt Groupe.  It is very soft as well and the knit isn't so delicate that it will catch on items during the day.  I paired it with one of my favorite pair of shorts by Reformation that have a scalloped lace hem.  You have seen these before on Fashion Snag paired with a lace hem tunic and suede jacket.  The Reformation is a new brand I am really getting into and I loved these shorts so much I bought a silk striped sleeveless shirt from them as well.

I stocked up on some new types of tights at Express, including this sheer pair I am wearing here.  These are for cooler days in the spring when I don't want to wear opaque tights.  Express is my go-to place for tights because I have found that their tights never snag, last forever, and are a pretty good price.  The slouchy bucket bag was a sale steal off of Shopbop.  It goes great with casual outfits and is a good alternative to my black leather quilted Dior bag.  The Balmain fringed boots dress up even the most casual outfit, giving it a little more of a bohemian flare.  The knuckle ring I threw on for a pop of green color since it was an overcast day.

Givenchy Open Toe Zip Front High Heel Booties in Black - Worn before here with Kimberly Ovitz dress and Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent cardigan

BCBGMAXAZRIA Lace Bottom Top in Black - Snagged off Shopbop.com for $82.60 (Retail: $118)

The Reformation Fly Lace Shorts in Black - Snagged off RevolveClothing.com for $105 (Retail: $129)

This is my first jacket by Muubaa and I must say that the quality and feel of the leather is excellent.  The shade is called mason grey, but it definitely looks like more of a green or taupe color which I absolutely love in combination with my strawberry blonde hair.  It has an asymmetric zipper and a longer hemline in the back.  The suede is soft to the touch, but feels like it could withstand some serious wear.  You can find the jacket at Tea Leaf Clothing and it is such a nice change from the usual black leather jackets I am always wearing.  I think the color is great for spring and I am definitely bringing this Muubaa jacket on my next vacation.

I paired it with an all black ensemble with lace details to make it really stand out.  I wore a BCBG lace bottom tunic that has holes for my thumbs.  I love tops like these because they make me feel edgy.  It is nice when tops have little details like lace hems and thumbholes because it can really make the difference in an all black outfit.  I got this tunic dress on sale at Shopbop last week and I scrunched it up to wear it some some shorts by The Reformation.  The shorts are made of rayon and have lace detailing along the bottom and the side.  I wish they were made of silk, but we cannot have everything we want.  This is my first purchase of anything by The Reformation, but I really do think the shorts are extra cute.  They are available at Revolve Clothing.  When summer gets here I am wearing them without tights.

I topped off the whole ensemble with my Givenchy cowboy boots that I snagged off of Yoox last year.  I love leaving these slightly unzipped to elongate the legs.  They have beautiful patent detailing.  It is hard to believe these shoes got marked down to $150 in the end.  Maybe they were too wild for the general public.  I don't know.  I love them, but I have a bit of cowgirl in me I guess.  Givenchy shoe designs are some of my favorites.  I also own these boots in the regular leather version without all the shiny patent leather detailing.  I will have to photograph them soon for Fashion Snag.
