Shearling and faux fur vests are an absolute must for your closet in the fall and winter. The layering possibilities are endless and let's face it, they look cute. Club Monaco came out with a fine shearling vest this season that I was head over heels in lust for the minute I saw it on a retailer's website. You can find out the retailer by clicking the link in the outfit description or watching the video. In fact, I answer most outfit questions or blog questions within my videos so it would be helpful if you need to know more details or if you just want to see llamas grazing in the background.
Layering this shearling vest over a sweater tunic made from the finest Italian merino wool served to be a match made in heaven. The Dallin Chase leather skirt was a little too poofy for my liking on this particular day so I pulled down the sweater tunic to make it look less poofy and in essence gave myself a little bump. Sometimes ensembles are more about comfort and function than how they will look in a photograph. By popping the cuff on these Kelsi Dagger ankle boots I gave them a completely different look.
The last layering piece was this beautiful chain and pearl necklace that Angela from Angel Couture sent me. Made with Japanese glass pearls from the 1940s as well as vintage chains, this necklace could easily pass as Chanel jewelry. It is that nice and Fashion Snag readers will have a chance to win their very own later this week so make sure that you are following me on Bloglovin.
