I would like to introduce an amazing handbag designer I found. Erica Harel is a handbag designer from Israel who designs the most beautiful bags, including this backpack I am wearing. She is best known for the backpacks she designs. This backpack is called the downtown backpack because it combines function and fashion, proving that you really can have both in a bag. This handbag is made from ostrich skin and I really love how Erica designed the backpack so that the bumps are in a pattern, rather than all over the entire bag. I also adore the color of this backpack. Bottle green items are difficult to find. I have a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals in a very similar color that I love. I am a sucker for this color green. This backpack looks and feels just as high quality as my Celine and Chanel handbags. It is difficult to be original in a sea of designer handbags. However, when I am wearing this backpack I feel like I have a unique piece or have found a hidden gem that not many people know about. Trust me when I say everyone will be asking you where you got this backpack.
She also designs backpacks in leather, printed leather, and even a vegan version. The backpacks come in different sizes and they are all lined on the inside. What's great about this backpack besides the color, superb craftsmanship, and beautiful hardware is that it has various compartments for everything you may need to carry. Be sure to watch the video post for this outfit tomorrow so you can hear all the details. I also think the tassels make this backpack really cute. They are attached to the two side pockets on the backpack. The straps are adjustable on this backpack as well. I like to wear mine on the loosest strap for fashion purposes, but if you are commuting you might choose a shorter strap to keep the backpack a little closer to your body. You can wear it like a backpack, sling it over one shoulder, or carry it using the sturdy top handle. It looks good just about any way you wear it. I cannot wait to wear this bag with all my spring and summer ensembles. This bag can fit everything you need and is very roomy. Erica Harel also designs clutches, mini shoulder bags, totes, messenger bags, and various accessories. She sells her bags on Etsy in addition to her website so check out the Etsy selection here. You can even place a custom order.
I styled my entire look around this amazing bottle green backpack. I wanted the backpack to stand out and be the most colorful piece in my outfit. I started with this crisp cropped shirt in white. I love the boxy cut of it and the fabric covered buttons. Small details really make the difference in quality and I always pay attention to the little things. This RED Valentino shirt is a fun take on the classic button down. Since it is cropped you can wear it with high waisted skirts, pants, and jeans. I am wearing a size 38 in the shirt if you are interested in purchasing it.
I went for somewhat of a preppy look by pairing the white blouse with a pleated skirt. This Tory Burch skirt is the perfect length. It isn't too long and it isn't too short either. I also love the color. It is a mix between silver and gold. Metallics like this skirt are always trendy in the spring and summer because they look amazing with tanned skin and white pieces. This is my first piece of clothing from Tory Burch and I am impressed with the quality. I am wearing the skirt in a size 0 if you are interested in purchasing it. Snag it on sale here.
My boyfriend told me to wear a little more jewelry. I tend to go for really simple looks most of the time and sometimes I am guilty of not putting on one piece of jewelry. This happens a lot in the winter when I am bundled up in sweaters. I find that I wear more jewelry in the summer. I guess you could say the more clothes I am wearing the less jewelry you will find me in and vice versa. This gold Vita Fede bracelet was a favorite of mine last summer. You can see me wearing it with denim shorts, a button down shirt, a crochet top, and a white dress. Be sure to shop more Vita Fede pieces here.
Some of you may remember these Miu Miu satin platform pumps from 2010. I have had them for so long already and they are still a favorite of mine. If you do happen to find them available for purchase they run narrow. Due to my wide toe box I had to purchase these shoes a half size up, but if you have narrow feet you should be able to purchase your true size. I treasure everything I purchase and to me a lot of the pieces I buy stand the test of time and last through trends. Platforms will always be in style in one form or another. These shoes are serious leg elongators and they are also really comfortable. The only downside is because they are satin I cannot wear them out in bad weather or else they will get destroyed. Platforms are back in according to the trend forecasters, but they were never out for me. Comfort and added height can never be a bad thing, right? That is how I feel about platform shoes.
